A Fun New Project...
Cake Pops!
So since my SIL, Heather, posted this fun treat on her blog via Bakerella, I've had two tries at making these cute lil' pops... The first time was definitely a learning experience, but I made "take two" tonight, and I'd call it a success. There are still things I'd like to tweak, but for the most part I'm happy with the outcome of the basic pop. I may or may not try the more elaborate versions of characters etc., but for now they were a fun baking adventure!
P.S. Todd LOVES how they taste - very moist cake/frosting in the middle - but of course he'd say that because I used chocolate cake & frosting! ;)

Oh I am jumping up and down in pure giddiness!!!!! They look awesome!!!
So proud :)
How cute are they?! I might just have to try them myself now!
Weren't you the one who brought some to church to share? I tasted those and they were yummy so I made some for Thanksgiving. Sadly, mine did not turn out so well (I used the Bakerella recipe too). I'll try again sometime though with Chocolate cake (instead of red velvet) and less frosting.
