Turquoise AdventureMission: Today I needed to go to a leather shop in the International District of Seattle to find a length of leather that could be made into a belt to hold this buckle (inquiries for a more local solution to said belt were fruitless).
I don't believe in coincidence, so I have to believe that
God really blessed today concerning the details
(and impromptu visit with Sal!) Yay!:

1. Got a surprise visit with Sal!
2. Found length of leather for a reasonable price
3. Got recommendation to belt maker at Pike Place Market
4. Found great parking spot
5. Sarah was an awesome shopper today and very patient
6. Found belt vendor just fine
7. Had wonderful lunch with Sarah overlooking the lake on a beautiful, chilly afternoon
8. Drove back up to Marysville without Sarah falling asleep
9. Sarah is getting a good "real" nap before Body Life tonight
10. Final product is fun and funky - Thanks for the Christmas gift Joy!

The Sarah Show
(it's been a while since I've featured her)

Lovin' Nana's house...

Silliness with Lovey - what a trooper traveler!

Licking "Trocket Pudding" off of beater.
She's certainly her father's daughter where chocolate is concerned...

Yelling at snowman...or something like that.
Yes, those are brussel sprouts for eyes and mouth.
We kind of had to come up with something
McGuyverish since we couldn't find any rocks and
were fresh out of coal...

Favs continued...

Sledding with Papa...

And then with Nana...

...then with Daddy...
(Mommy got in on the fun too, but didn't get caught on film)

Shocking!

A bit premature for a thematic change? Perhaps. But I'm always excited for the weather of three months ahead...

2008 So far... A random list of things in no particular order:

Took down Christmas decorations and got a little bit obsessed with cleaning

Trimmed 3rd of three fruit trees - Yay! HUGE task done!
Made greeting cards for creativity and frugality's sake
Rearranged living room's furniture - LOVE it...
re-organized kitchen drawers - sigh, there's nothing quite like having all my storage stuff in order
Continuing secretary tasks for Grace Fellowship
Digging more into the Word - Fell in love with Romans again
Bundling up Sarah and going to parks even though it's usually too cold - she couldn't be happier and that makes me happy!
New Years party/sleep over with good friends
Helping to plan Body Life night for Grace - praying for God to continue to unify and grow our body
Baking cookies/bringing snacks for Jr. High girls Sunday morning...
Trading babysitting with my dear friend Jos
Visiting Library and checking out almost more books than can fit in my tote
Reading those books to Sarah again and again and again and again - marveling at her mind
Currently reading: The Scientist in the Crib, Romans, Wondertime magazine, Cost of Discipleship (though rather slowly)
Broke glass cooktop of my less-than-one-year-old-glass top stove - thankfully I'm married to amazingly grace-filled and quite handy husband who will do the repair so not as much money goes to Sears...
Trying to complete a SPU course in Writing the Story Book
Wondering if I should even pay any attention to American Idol this season and wondering where House went.
I AM READY FOR SPRING!!!
Checking on my little tulip bulbs pushing up through the soil already... Yay!
SO thankful for all the Lord has given me - feeling quite content....
